It's a wee bit late, but that's alright.  So during the winter my family and I took a trip to Pakistan (vacation. of. hell.) and we visited this fantastic mosque with some interesting messages inside.  Sadly, I can't read Urdu, so I have no idea what any of it says.  But we can imagine it says something cool like "Maarvi is the greatest person EVER!"

New Found Message! [09 Dec 2006|07:16pm]

found_messages has been a bit slow as of late! So spread the word :)

The following was found next to the elevators in the parking lot of The Beverly Center in Beverly Hills, California. I spotted it on my way to do some shopping and a bite to eat with my mom a day or two after Thanksgiving.

I smell like what? [11 Nov 2006|02:59pm]

Not exactly profound. Or inspiring. Or even all that nice really. Found on top of the lockers at school, written in chalk. It's a cell phone picture, so excuse the possible bad quality.

Hi... First post here. I saw this on the El (Chicago's version of a subway) a couple weeks ago. It's just a sticker someone put on a poster that was advertising a depression study looking for participants. Not sure if this counts as a found message, but this made me smile.

I found this community to be very refreshing and a great idea.
I've noticed the "writing on the wall", so to speak, quite often around my hometown, and my curiousity always struck me about what each thing meant.
I probably will never know, but I can record them.

I have some old stuff lying around that I've found and this has sort of set a spark to me starting my "writing on the walls" photo-documentary.

Anyways, this one was outside a Starbucks a little less than a year back.
You can find "Slinky" making his tag in other areas of the city as well.
Nothing too profound, but you know.

Under the mattress [17 Oct 2006|06:27pm]

Well, It’s been nearly two months since this community has been created and here is the first post!

I was in San Francisco, California at the Academy of Art University for a high school summer art "experience" for about six weeks. These were found underneath the mattress of a bunk bed in a friend's room and me and my other friend Bianca (iluvdoraemon) took pictures of them and even added a couple ourselves.

The messages were found on our last night of the program on July 28, 2006

I will never forget these days, these times, these emotionsCollapse )

Messages like this just make me think about when they did it, why they did it, what sort of a state they were in, were they being really emo on purpose?! XP

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed them and start being on the lookout for some found messages or just post with some you already have access to :)
